Richard and his family joined CRCOC in October of 2006 when they moved to Katy after living overseas for nearly 10 years.  Richard is a Petroleum Engineer by degree (from Louisiana State University) and has worked in the industry over 25 years.

Prior to moving abroad, Richard lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 10 years where he met his wife Nancy while attending the Anchorage Church of Christ.  While out of the U.S., they worshipped with Christians from many different walks of life and even hosted a home church for several years. These experiences provided a special time of spiritual growth for their family.  They have been married for 21 years and have two children, Cara and Travis. The Lovelands all enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, and watching movies together.

Richard and Nancy thoroughly enjoy serving with the Youth Ministry, Missions Ministry, and the Greeting Ministry, as well as teaching classes.  Richard became a shepherd in November of 2010 and serves as the resource shepherd for the Missions Ministry, the Women’s Ministry, and the Youth Ministry.
